ITTY BITTY BROADWAY
Our Itty Bitty Broadway members were busy carolling this December.

A full season of acting! We will be focusing on the fun of the stage this year, with many on and offstage roles to fill.
We will need an array of ages, as there are many roles which require some responsibility.
We will need choreographers and stage hands, and LOTS of actors!We have chosen scenes from comedies and dramas, such as:
The Misanthrope, A Midsummer's Night Dream, Little Women, Anne Frank, Steele Magnolias - and more!!!
We have chosen songs from many classic American musicals, such as:
South Pacific, Cinderella, West Side Story, Show Boat - and more!!!
We also have chosen songs from modern musicals, such as:
Wicked, Shrek the Musical, Next 2 Normal, Legally Blonde The Musical, Hairspray - and more!!!
We will spend several weeks with acting and improv games to become familiar friends and gain the trust needed to work together as a theater company would. Older students will fill roles of captains, choreographers and stage managers and will assist in the learning process of the younger students. The games we will start with are the ones the kids BEG to play more of and I'm excited to announce that we will start every class with such games!!!
Everyone is encouraged to perform, but no one is required! This class will allow an all encompassing look at the planning and performing aspects of theater, there is tons of backstage of work to be done too!!! We also have straight scenes and musical theater features this year, so anyone wanting to act but not sing, or sing but not act - that is a flexibility we are happy to provide.
The scenes and songs will be chosen with the input of the group, and will require lots of at home practice, but will be learned and costumed accordingly for our end of the year performance! Our acting troupe will also be making a special appearance at All Star's Dance Center's annual recital!!!
Another exciting feature of this year's course offering is headshots! Special guests will be popping up all year, and So Lucky Photography is one! We will have a special evening of glitz to get dressed up and have our head shots taken. A special 5X7 will be provided to each student to add to their theatrical resume, and more can be special ordered.
